Set your clocks, because round two of the presidential debates is going down tonight at 9 p.m. (EST), where President Obama will face off with Governor Romney in a town hall-style debate!

STORY: Koch Brothers Mail 45,000 Employees Letter Supporting Romney

After delivering a lackluster performance at the first presidential debate in Denver, Obama has ensured viewers that he will step it up and avoid repeating the same mistakes. We hope he took note of the strategy VP Joe Biden used when he ripped Republican nominee Paul Ryan during the vice presidential debate!

Tonight’s debate will be hosted at Hofstra University in Long Island, NY and will be moderated by CNN’s Candy Crowley, who’s made it clear that she will interject if need be.

“Once the table is kind of set by the town-hall questioner, there is then time for me to say, ‘Hey, wait a second, what about X, Y, Z?’” said Crowley earlier this month on CNN.

Nonetheless, her perception as moderator conflicts with the agreement that the two candidates were given, which reads:

“In managing the two-minute comment periods, the moderator will not rephrase the question or open a new topic … The moderator will not ask follow-up questions or comment on either the questions asked by the audience or the answers of the candidates during the debate or otherwise intervene in the debate except to acknowledge the questioners from the audience or enforce the time limits, and invite candidate comments during the two-minute response period.”

Both the Romney and Obama camps reached out in concern that Crowley might overstep these boundaries, but she was not required to sign the same agreement. In effect, she’s not technically limited by this role.

Here are other rules that the debators must abide by, according to the Memorandum of Understanding Between the Obama and Romney Campaigns:

Candidates aren’t allowed to cite anyone in the audience (besides family members) during the debate.
Candidates aren’t allowed to address questions to each other or ask the other candidate to take a pledge.
The moderators can’t do “show of hands” questions.
