Most often when you leave a charity event, it’s with a gift bag in tow…but not if you’re Usher. He brought home a new member to his family after attending the Pencils of Promise charity event.
Usher, Jessica Szohr, Estelle, and a slew of other celebs, attended the 2012 Pencils of Promise Gala held at Guastavino’s in New York City last night.

The charity’s organizers, Adam Braun and his brother Scooter Braun, threw the second annual event for their charity that helps create schools, programs, and global communities in an effort to provide education to all.
Usher bid on, and won, a puppy at the event that ran him a pretty $12,000.

The super cute pup is said to be for his girlfriend’s daughter, who later posted a photo of herself and the little pup online.
