Welcome back to Monday!

Hopefully you had a great weekend and you are ready for the week to get underway. Thankfully in order to make it an even better day, we have a couple of great hings for you to do today that won’t cost you anything.  In today’s installment we have got some great things for you to do in Milan, Italy. Check it out!

Visit The Acquario

A whacking great Poseidon guards the goldfish pond in front of this fun Parco Sempione freebie, which was reopened in 2006. The Aquarium’s strong reliance on a handful of river species, most notably trout, becomes amusing after the sixth reconstruction of a River Po or Lake Como underwater scene. The 25 newly installed tanks are large and bright, however, and the collection of bristled Adriatic sturgeon and barracuda-like pike are gloriously ugly.

Visit The Casa del Manzoni

A friendly curator will lead you around the wonderfully ornate former home of author and poet Alessandro Manzoni (1785-1873), second in Italian literature only to Dante. Several of the parquet-floored rooms, stocked with Manzoni’s personal effects and early editions of his work, overlook what must be an estate agent’s dream: a leafy quadrangle that serves as headquarters to Banca Commerciale on Piazza della Scala. The fire alarm is the only addition to the perfectly preserved room where Manzoni died, after falling on the steps of nearby San Fedele in 1873.

Financial Tip Of The Day

Clean Out Your Closet

Go through your closets and try to get rid of some of the stuff in there. You can have a yard sale with it, take it to a consignment shop, or even donate it for the tax deduction – all of which turn old stuff you don’t want to use any more into money in your pocket. Not only that, it’s often a psychological load off your mind to clean out your closets.
