Classmates and friends gathered for a vigil at the high school that Jordan Davis attended before he was fatally shot at a gas station in Florida on Black Friday.
More than 100 students came out to the vigil held at Wolfson High School in Jacksonville, along with Davis’ father Ron Davis. Wolfson High’s senior class president spoke at the memorial early on Tuesday morning about Davis, who was killed by a man named Michael Dunn because he was playing his music too loudly while parked in a vehicle with friends. Tyrah Walker encouraged her classmates to love one another and cherish the gift of life. “Love your neighbor. They might not be here the next day,” she said.

Ron Davis said Tuesday’s vigil was a “great expression of love.” But he had harsh words for Michael David Dunn, the 45-year-old Satellite Beach resident who was booked Tuesday into Duval County Jail on murder and attempted murder charges.
Davis said Dunn was a “coward” for shooting at unarmed teens. “You know they are 17; you can see it in their faces,” Davis said. “… Black Friday now has a different meaning for me because it will really be a Black Friday massacre for me.”
Davis said his son died in the arms of a friend.
Jordan will be laid to rest on Saturday.
