There are probably millions of people who don’t like the Black Eyed Peas, but luckily for the Black Eyed Peas, there are millions of other people who do.
According to Billboard, the pop/rap foursome continue to write their name in the music record books, as their hit single, ‘I Gotta Feeling’ has become the best-selling digital download of all time. Over 5,561,000 downloads for ‘Feeling’ beats out the previous record of 5,536,000, which was held by Flo-Rida for his 2008 hit single, ‘Low’. And for all the haters out there sucking their teeth at BEP’s latest achievement, it gets worse. The group also owns the number four spot for best selling digital download of all time for ‘Boom Boom Pow’, which is at 5,298,000.

WHY ‘I GOTTA FEELING’ IS ONE OF THE WORST SONGS OF ALL TIME
Singing: ‘I gotta feeling tonight’s gonna be a good night/tonight’s gonna be a good, good night’
That’s dumb. It reminds me of a song I would hear at a bar mitzvah, and I’ve been to plenty. Or, you know what else it sounds like? It’s the type of song I’d hear in a car commercial for a minivan.
I understand people like it because it’s lighthearted, but it’s a lighthearted party song and that doesn’t make sense. I liked the real lighthearted BEP stuff, like ‘Where Is The Love’ with Justin Timberlake. Not this ‘I Gotta Feeling’ stuff. They just keep saying the same thing over and over again. I get it. WHY ‘I GOTTA FEELING’ IS ONE OF THE BEST SONGS OF ALL TIME
It only makes sense that one of the easiest songs of all time to sing along to takes over as the best digital download of all time. This is what the Black Eyed Peas do! They don’t make albums, they make hit records. Over and over again, hit records, and ‘I Gotta Feeling’ upholds the tradition.
First, let’s look at the hook. It’s probably one of the catchiest hooks that will ever be recorded, and it’s message is clear: Tonight is going to be a good night, and even when we’re having a bad night, who doesn’t want to believe it’s going to turn out differently? The fact is, millions of people go out at night, and every single one of those people want the night to be good, thus the song gives everyone the hope they need to make a good night happen.
But I would be lying if I said I always liked ‘Feeling’. As a matter of fact, I probably would have felt the same way Rachel did if I heard it as is for the first time, but I didn’t. The first version I heard was Lil Wayne’s remix, entitled ‘No Ceilings’ off his mixtape of the same name. Hopefully BEP put some money on Wayne’s books because I’m willing to bet
