Xavier Granville, a 17 year old, had been hanging out with some friends on Beach 15th Street near Heyson Road in Far Rockaway, Queens after leaving a party when two men in ski masks approached them and began firing into the group at about 12:30 A.M.

A neighbor, Melissa, was just trying to go to work. But she couldn’t get out the front door of her building.
“I was coming out the elevator and I saw a trail of blood, and then when I got to the front door I saw all the police tape. I didn’t know what was going on, and then I came outside, I see all the cops, and from what I’m hearing, somebody got killed,” she said.
