Peter Pan is somewhere with his hand out waiting for a check!

First we saw the quasi-epidemic of the meggings trend that transcended instances of men in leggings from instances involving bicycles, mullets, and running track, into men wearing tights for fashion purposes.

Now we have a close runner up that may be just as worrisome: it’s called Mantyhose. Also known as “brosiery” and “guylons,” Mantyhose are exactly what they sound like, pantyhose for men!

Emilio Cavallini made this dream nobody asked for a reality with his designs and his daughter, who now runs the brand, says that the $40 stockings are catching on in the US.

“They wear the tights with shorts, under jeans that have holes, under pants to stay warm in colder climates, or just to lounge around,” Designer Lisa Cavallini told Women’s Wear Daily. “The interest is also growing in the U.S. market, and we’ve had so many requests for mantyhose that we’ve added an extra-large size for men who are 6 feet tall and weigh up to 198 pounds.”

Thinking about trying this trend on for size? Business Insider is serving up some tight tips for the men who are looking to slide their junk into a pair – including clipping their toenails to prevent snags, selecting a color of Manyhose that is darker than the color of their leg hair, or ultimately shaving their leg hair for a better fit, or to be more aerodynamic or whatever.

Seriously? We were almost OK with the meggings thing, but this trend may be stretching the nylon just a tad.

One thing we must give props to is the creativity when it comes to naming these hilarious trends.
