Colorado mother Jessica Hayes was simply doing spring-cleaning in the living room while her mom was helping out in the kitchen.
She moved around furniture in order to shampoo the carpet and her 4-year-old son, Dylan, climbed up on the coach to talk to a downstairs neighbor through the window. Suddenly, he leaned against the flimsy screen and ended up falling three stories down into a pile of rocks.
“My mom was cleaning our fridge out and, all of a sudden, I hear her screaming, ‘Dylan just went out the window!'” said Jessica Hayes.
Hayes quickly ran outside to check on her son.
“I was terrified,” she said. “I didn’t know what I was going to see when I got down to the ground floor.”
However, Dylan was unharmed. The preschooler, wearing a Superman t-shirt, reportedly did two somersaults in the air, causing him to land on two feet.
“I falled,” said Dylan. “Really, really far.”
His mother is now speaking out in hopes of encouraging parents to be more aware of dangerous situations in the home. She is now looking for a new apartment on the first floor and is thankful that her son survived this thirty-foot fall.
What a blessing!
