If you grew up in the ’90s, then you know Tia and Tamera were “it” twins. Their fun, silliness and wittiness captured the hearts of America. Now, over a decade later, fans of the famous twins get to follow on their newest life journeys that include engagements, marriages and of course, babies.
Essence Magazine is celebrating their accomplishments by choosing Tia Mowry-Hardict and Tamera Mowry-Housley as the cover girls for their April “Career Success Guide” issue.
In the mag, the pair open up about motherhood, reality TV and their priorities.
Tia On Being A Mother: I feel sexier now, as a mother, than I ever have in my life. I’m more in tune with my body. I don’t take any crap anymore either.
Tamera on motherhood: I’ve always wanted to be a mother. I’m a nurturer, a girly girl. I know my priorities: God, family and work … When those things are in check, the work will flow.
Tia on being real for the cameras: We didn’t want to do a reality show if we couldn’t be real — if I couldn’t be myself. There is no ‘evil twin syndrome,’ though we do have evil moments.
The twins also had their little baby boys on set to make things double the cuteness.
It is definitely refreshing to see child stars grown into beautiful, family-oriented young ladies. Check out the behind the scenes video from their shoot over at Essence.
