One technique comedians have used to show off their quick humor and clever wit is by roasting people, whether it be their audience or even those close to them.

Ever since Twitter took over the social media platform on the web, comedians have found it much easier to show off some of their skills by roasting fans, celebrities, and even other fellow jokesters.

This week, we saw Mike Epps start up a Twitter war with Kevin Hart, and the two went head-to-head to see who was the better roaster.

While it seems like Kevin came out victorious, he must keep in mind that he and other comedians have not always been the most successful when it comes to battling out their wits on Twitter.

Marlon Wayans could arguably be called the King of Twitter roasting, as he’s gone at it with the likes of Joe Budden, Charlamagne Tha God, and sometimes his comedian friends just to stir the pot a little bit.

Lil’ Duval is always finding his keyboard getting him into trouble, as rappers aren’t always too pleased with his comedic criticism.

While there’s been a fair amount of wit displayed already with comedians beefing with others on Twitter, it’s only the beginning.

Check out a history of comedians getting into Twitter wars below!

Lil’ B vs. Lil’ Duval – Lil’ Duval decided to make his very own “Worst Rappers Of The Decade” list, and Lil’ B was none too pleased to find out that he had made it. The worst part is that Lil’ Duval admitted he never even listened to the “Based God!”

Marlon Wayans vs. Joe Budden – Marlon Wayans is known to go head-to-head with followers and celebrities, and Joe Budden certainly set him off when he said that he didn’t find anything Marlon ever did to be funny. The two finally just let their difference in opinions go, but not before a whole slew of roasting went on between them:

Marlon Wayans vs. Charlamagne Tha God – Once again, Marlon Wayans couldn’t help himself from brewing up some roasting comedy for his followers when Charlamagne Tha God insulted him on the social network. Since Charlamagne is a pretty good roaster himself, it seemed as though Marlon had met his match:

Rob Dyrdek vs. Tosh – When the host of Tosh.0 made a comment about Rob’s Ridiculousness clip show biting off of his own, this set Rob to unleash a little monster in him via his keyboard. While the Twitter exchange didn’t last long, it certainly left some marks. Ouch!

Kevin Hart vs. DeRay Davis – It’s not as safe as you might think to insult Kevin Hart, and DeRay Davis learned this after making fun of his personal Twitter Christmas card to his fans. This just unleashed the roasting dragon that is Kevin, and the two went on a long tweeting tirade to see who could tear apart the other more. Good thing they both have a good sense of humor, since they’re still comedian friends today!

Chris Brown vs. Jenny Johnson – While Jenny might be a comedian in her own sense, things took a turn for less than funny when she decided to “roast” [well, bully for better description] Chris Breezy when he posted a picture admiring his growth. She held none of her own personal opinions back when the two had a heated exchange that turned from harsh, to just plain horrifyingly awkward:

Billy Sorrells vs. Lil’ Duval – It seems that Lil’ Duval can’t go a week or so without upsetting somebody, and one time it was comedian Billy Sorrells. After Billy accused Duval of stealing his concept which was turned into the hit TV show Guy Code, Billy made sure to let him know that he was PISSED. He didn’t directly respond back, as to not give Billy shine, but Lil’ Duval clearly could have cared less:
