Once upon a time, probably long ago, there was a guy named Robert Pattinson who wanted to flow. And he probably sounded awful, but at least he learned how to talk like an American, which made him insanely rich.
Pattinson naturally has an English accent but plays the character of Edward Cullen from the insanely popular Twilight series, in an American accent. The teen hearthrob revealed to Oprah Winfrey it was through his aspirations to be a rapper he learned how to sound like a Yankee. ‘I used to want to be a rapper when I was 14,’ Pattinson told Winfrey on her show, which airs on Thursday. The rapper also gave props to watching American movies, but we prefer to run with the rap theory ourselves. After all, who better a tutor than the likes of these two guys…
