You started off at Happy Hour…but the “after work” gathering turned into a late night soiree. Much better than you could have ever imagined or have even planned; and let it be noted that it takes sheer talent to transform for office chic to lounge freak, simply with the items in your well filled makeup bag! You are getting your entire life tonight, no cares and no worries.until somewhere between sipping and twirling on the dance floor you recall the 11AM family brunch on your schedule for the next morning! (eeeeek)

The problem with alcohol is that it stays in your body until you can metabolize it or sweat it out. (I say go and sweat it out in bed with the boo of your choice ladies…just a thought, but who am I?!?) To metabolize sip orange juice, cranberry juice or even a little pink grapefruit juice before you close your eyes for the evening, this will help to speed up your metabolism and detoxify – both of which you are in need of!

Your liver has been working overtime as you slipped into your champagne induced slumber; attempting to filter out your “good time.” The next morning, start out with a cup of hot water and half a lemon. The warm water serves to stimulate the gastrointestinal tract and peristalsis—the waves of muscle contractions within the intestinal walls that keep things moving. The minerals and vitamins in lemons help loosen ama, or toxins, in the digestive tract; lemon juice also increases the rate of urination in the body, flushing out unwanted toxins. Did I mention that there are also fat burning properties attached to lemon juice? (get excited!)
