An American citizen might be indicted by the North Korean government after allegedly trying to overthrow it in the past.

According to the Huffington Post, Kenneth Bae is being told by North Korea that they plan to put him on trial after complicating the relationship between them and Washington even further.

The official Korean Central News Agency said in a report:

“The preliminary inquiry into crimes committed by American citizen Pae Jun Ho closed. In the process of investigation he admitted that he committed crimes aimed to topple the DPRK with hostility toward it. His crimes were proved by evidence.”

There is no word on when the trial will take place or what the charges were, but if he is found guilty of creating hostility, he could be sentenced to death in the country.

This doesn’t help the fact that North Korea has already been planning to attack the U.S. in due time, despite attempts to fix the relationship.

Hopefully this mess gets cleared up soon, and justice can be served.
