When Eve first hit the rap scene, all the way back in 1998, she was known as a pit bull in a skirt for her hard street-based rhymes.
Now, 15 year later, Eve is showing that that hard edge never really left her. The rapper just released the video for “Eve,” which will be on her upcoming comeback album, Lip Lock. The song is notable because it’s harder than anything she has released over the last year or so.
The visuals are pretty straightforward: we see the rapper walking down the mean streets of London.
Eve’s Lip Lock album — her first since 2002 — is due on May 17th. Expect to hear collaborations with the likes of Pusha T, Missy Elliot, Juicy J, Snoop Dogg and more.
