The kilt-wearing fashion plate took to the stage last night to preview new music for a packed house at the 2013 Met Costume Gala. While his kilt probably didn’t shock anyone from the fashion sect, the fact that it was a full custom Givenchy outfit, complete with a (literally) star-studded mask, might turn a few heads.
Although the star motif on the collar may not be new for Givenchy, designer Riccardo Tisci added a few extras just for Yeezy. The all over monochromatic polka dots on the shirt, kilt, pants and even matching mask were completely unique to the emcee.
Seeing as how Riccardo was one of the evening’s co-chairs and that he already designed custom pieces for Kanye’s Watch The Throne tour, it was fitting they joined forces once again.
Kanye completed the ensemble with a black pair of Balenciaga “Arena” sneakers.
