Getting shady may be a bit excessive in the winter months for some, but when it comes to summer, summer, summer time, it is not only mandated that you throw a little shade, it’s almost expected.

With the days getting longer, your eyewear has to be as immaculate as your footwear. Most people tend to have their go-to when it comes to shades (hello vintage Ray Bans), and prefer to play it safe when it comes to shapes and colors, but with so many spectacular shades of all shapes, sizes and assortments of embellishments to choose from, why would you want to?

We’re just going to go ahead and assume it’s because you were too lazy to find designers who put a little extra oomph in their design, so we did the leg work for you.

Check out 3 eyewear designers that you need to know this summer below.

CoCo and Breezy

The twin duo is the epitome of making it off of a dollar and a dream. The pair moved to New York with plans of selling their over the top hand-studded sunglasses, and have since built a brand of glasses embraced by the likes of Rihanna, Dawn Richard, and just about every celeb you have ever seen in shades! These two aren’t afraid to get a little grandiose with their pairs, and rarely shy away from bright colors, metal accents and larger than life frames.

A-morir

You ever look at a celebrity and wonder where in the world they got their out of this world performance sunglasses? A-morir was probably the answer. Acts such as Solange, Katy Perry and Lana Del Rey have all slipped a pair of A-morir glasses into their routine at some point. The luxury artisanal eyewear line created by designer Kerin Rose Weinberg has the perfect head-turners for the plain Patricia and the fancy Fran alike.

Red’s

Of course we had to give you something a little more classic and subtle to round out the trio, and Red’s is just that. The brand recently incorporated a line of polished sunglasses that are just the type to become your old reliable. The kicker? The line is named after one of the fallen founders’ dogs, Red, and a portion of all profits go to a foundation started in honor of the lost loved one called Shallow Water Blackout Prevention. Style and substance.

If none of these handmade sunglasses have converted you into a shade lover, then alas, we will let you rock out in your old reliable, but don’t be afraid to see life from a different lens.
