How do two huge stars keep a secret? Sneak around, of course.
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt used early morning doctors appointments and rental cars to keep Angie’s health scare on the down low. Because news never sleeps, but apparently the paparazzi do!
“Brad did everything he could to keep things secret and protect Angie,” a source close to the family told PEOPLE.
Angelina recently revealed she underwent a double mastectomy after finding out she possessed the same faulty gene as her mother, who passed away from cancer. Angie’s doctor Kristi Funk told the magazine Brad never left his wife’s side; he was present for each surgery.
In an op-ed piece for the New York Times, the 37-year-old actress reveals that she and her man, “managed to find moments to laugh together,” throughout the painstaking process.
This article, titled “My Medial Choice,” was also the outlet the Academy Award-winner used to reveal to the world her bold decision to have both breasts removed as a preventative measure. The process took three months and took place between late February and early April to complete.
If ever there were any doubts about Brad and Angelina’s relationship (there weren’t), they’ve been shattered. The two met back in 2004 and were engaged last April; they have six children together ranging from ages 11 to four.
“In my mind, he’s already married,” Pitt’s furniture design partner, Frank Pollaro, said. “This is an admirable person, a man with a deep love for his family.”
If that’s not true love, we don’t know what is! Sorry, Jen. But we’re totally team Brangelina.
