It’s been a while since we’ve heard anything about Boston Marathon bombing suspect, Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, but now, his mother is telling reporters that her wounded son is doing “fine.”

Zubeidat Tsarnaeva told Bloomberg that she talked to her son briefly for the first time since he was locked up.

“I couldn’t stop myself from crying,” Tsarnaeva from Makhachkala, Russia. “He said: ‘I am absolutely fine, my wounds are healing. Everything is in God’s hands. Be patient. Everything will be fine.’”

The conversation lasted about six minutes, Tsarnaeva said.

After the bombings, which killed three and injured 260, Tsarnaeva insisted that her sons had nothing to do with the attack. She also said that she believes the FBI captured Tamerlan Tsarnaev alive and then killed him –  she’s not sure he was killed in the Watertown shootout just days after the marathon.

Last month, ABC News reported that Tsarnaeva told reporters her sons are only guilty of being Muslim.

Authorities have remained mum about Dzhokhar’s condition…and specifics about the attacks. Looks like any information we might get will come from his very vocal family

We’ll keep you updated on the latest.
