Being a woman in a man’s world can be difficult and uninviting, but a girl’s gotta do what a girl’s got to do. Recently findng a youtube video that has Lil Kim performing, who then invites Keyz onstage makes one wonder. Is this embracing or hating? Both Lady MC’s have been tied to rumors of each beefing with Young Money’s Nicki Minaj. So it is odd to see them both onstage together.
Though the audio is extremely hard to understand, it only feeds to these vicious assumptions that ladies in rap are not loving one another. All these rumors going around that women in rap are not getting along is truly frustrating. Women like Lil Kim, Eve, Nicki Minaj or new comer Keyz, who are very talented and beautiful should be embracing each other. Lets set an example of how wonderful and strong women are, rather than looking like the ‘unstable creatures’ the majority of men believe us to be.
