It’s official. Wendy Williams is the new Oprah

The radio host turned daytime talk show host has just inked a major deal with Fox that locks her show on air until 2017!

That’s whats up.

Wendy has revolutionized the game of daytime talk. Her new contract comes after a year where she had a major boom in ratings with the key demographic: women ages 25-54.

The Hollywood Reporter writes:

The show grew 43 percent in the past year, according to Debmar-Mercury (a division of Lionsgate). That gave it a 1.2 rating and 8 percent share of the daytime metered markets.

“Fox’s long-term renewal is a testament to the incredible growth the show has experienced this season and the amazing talent of Wendy,” Debmar-Mercury co-presidents Ira Bernstein and Mort Marcus said in a statement. “Our broadcast partners across the country have taken notice, demonstrating their faith in the staying power of this rapidly growing talk franchise with upgrades.”

And that’s not all.

Wendy is doing her thing in all the majors markets. She doubled her viewership in New York, grew 58% in L.A. and 139% in Oprah’s home town of Chicago. Wendy is winning.
