Happy June 18 everybody!

Today is a pretty big day in the world of music. A lot of great music was released today, and luckily, we’ve gotten the chance to listen to and examine the four main albums released.

Kanye’s Yeezus has gotten overwhelmingly positive reviews by some of the industry’s most refined critics, as has J. Cole’s sophomore album Born Sinner

Pittsburgh rapper Mac Miller has also received favorable reviews for his lengthy 19-track sophomore offering, Watching Movies with the Sound Off

While Kelly Rowland isn’t in the hip-hop category, her fourth solo album Talk A Good Game does boast some hip-hop influences with production by Mike Will.

The four albums all possess different vibes and messages, so GlobalGrind decided to put their music in six statistical categories: “Car Riding” music, “Get High” music, “Bedroom Bangers,” “Reflection/Introspective” music, “Pre-Game” music, and “Club” music.

Surprisingly, most of the albums collectively have more chill car riding and pre-gaming music as opposed to club bangers.

Yeezus, Born Sinner, Watching Movies with the Sound Off, and Talk A Good Game are now available on iTunes and at a music retailer near you.
