Come on guys, when will you learn this is NEVER OK?
After the Pride Parade in New York City this weekend, a woman reported two men aboard the F train making offensive homophobic comments.
“Today was a scary day for me. There were fags everywhere,” she heard.
Then, a group of Lesbian/Gay/Bisexual/Transgender (LGBT) young adults boarded the train and things began to escalate. The men harassed them and one threatened to rape them, at which point the woman then took out her phone and started filming. The assailants became increasingly angry, and attacked her.
Seeing that he was being recorded, the first assailant lunged at me, violently grabbing my arms while trying to steal away my phone. One of the youth took the phone from me temporarily to protect it and told the assailant he shouldn’t attack a woman.
She sustained scratches and bruises as a result of the altercation.
Let’s hope these ignorant men get caught and justice is served!
