D.C. rapper Wale has a lot of celebrating to do, because his third studio album, The Gifted, has officially gone number one on the charts.
Wale’s new album landed at the number one spot on the music charts with a little over 151,000 copies sold.
While Wale clocked in at number one, J. Cole’s Born Sinner album surpassed the sales of Kanye’s Yeezus album, moving 83,000 units compared to Yeezus’ 66,000 units. Born Sinner took the number two spot, while Yeezus rests comfortably at number three.
Wale is also gearing up to contribute to Maybach Music’s Self Made Vol. 3 compilation album, which is due out August 6.
