In the football world, on July 6th, Washington Football Team QB Robert Griffin III tied the knot with his girl Rebecca. Friends, family and colleagues went to Twitter to post about the joyous occasion.

Now onto the basketball world. We’re sorry to be the bearer of bad news, ladies. Oklahoma City’s Kevin Durant got down on one knee and proposed to Minnesota’s Monica Wright.
The couple has known each other since their high school days and kept their relationship quiet. Even as recently as May, a FoxSportsNorth.com article about their friendship made no reference to the two being romantically involved.
Monica did tweet a hint that the two are engaged:
