Last night was HOT 97’s “Loud Live!” event at the Best Buy Theater in NYC, and it’s safe to say “rest in peace” to the stage.

With Fabolous, Wale, and even Mack Wilds taking on the crowd, it was a night that many hip-hop fans will stay talking about.

First up was Mack Wilds, who definitely gave the crowd, especially the ladies, what they came to hear.

Being that his album NY: A Love Story is coming out in just one week, Mack performed one of his new singles “Hennessy” and the Michael Jackson-sampled “Remember The Time” to keep the crowd on their feet.

It’s pretty easy to vibe with Mack, being that he knows how to connect with the crowd who are still learning his new sound.

After going through a couple of tracks, he decided to shake things up a bit and play some straight New York hip-hop, including old school hits by Jay Z and Diddy.

At the end of his set, Mack turned things up when he performed his hit “Own It,” which has been all over the radio the last month. The crowd was definitely pleased.

Next up was Wale, who came very prepared for an already hyped-up crowd. You can only imagine how concert-goers acted when he came out to his famous “No Hands” verse.

Showing that he wasn’t wasting anytime, the MMG rapper moved right into one of his biggest hits, “Slight Work.”

Wale also managed to bring some nostalgia back to his dedicated fans while performing “Pretty Girls” before moving into some of his new songs from his latest album The Gifted.

It wasn’t all turnt up though, since Wale knows exactly what his fans are looking for. He slowed things down with his hit “Bad.” Once Wale had the audience in the palm of his hand, he ended his set as Funkmaster Flex came on the 1’s and 2’s to really shut things down.

The time finally came for Fab to take the stage, and just the beat of the first song was enough to get the people goin’.

Making his entrance to his oldie but goodie “Can’t Deny It,” there was no stopping this crowd from showing Fab tons of love.

His set moved into a lot of his other older hits such as the Tamia-featured “Into You” and the Lil-Mo-assisted “Can’t Let You Go.”

Some new Fabolous fans might have been just observing, until Fab brought us back to more recent times with his verses from “Oh My,” “Start It Up,” and his latest hit “Feel Like It.”

He even made sure not to forget his dedicated listeners who came to see him dive into his The Soul Tape projects.

After a night of reppin’ New York, and of course Brooklyn, Fab made sure none of the crowd left the venue disappointed.
