Lululemon has been the go-to for women’s activewear for quite some time now, but after a recall on see-through yoga pants earlier in the year, the company’s product quality has been called into question. Well, apparently, it’s not them – it’s you and your fat thighs.

According to Lululemon’s founder Chip Wilson, the women complaining about the product quality might be the wrong size for the company’s yoga pants. Chip put his foot in his own mouth during a visit to speak with Trish Regan on Bloomberg Television’s “Street Smart.”

After talking about meditation and Zen, the founder pretty much said the pants aren’t for women whose thighs touch.

“Frankly some women’s bodies just don’t actually work for it. They don’t work for some women’s bodies…it’s really about the rubbing through the thighs, how much pressure is there over a period of time, how much they use it.”

With thigh gap thinspo running rampant on sites like Tumblr, the timing couldn’t have been worse for the commentary, but this isn’t the first time Lululemon has blamed customers for quality problems. In July, a posting on Lululemon’s website suggested that women complaining that pants were too sheer were probably just buying the wrong size.

All that Zen, not enough compassion. Check out the interview here.
