Let’s all agree to be honest about one thing: The red carpet at the Golden Globes wasn’t a strong start to awards season fashion. While there were ladies like Lupita, Emma Roberts and the like who brought the heat, for the most part (with an additional exception for baby bumps) the red carpet was safe…but after the show it’s the after party!
Last night, there were two after parties that were a big deal: the 15th Annual Warner Bros and InStyle Golden Globe Awards After Party held at the Oasis Courtyard at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, and the 71st Annual Golden Globe Awards Weinstein Party at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. One had Leonardo DiCaprio, one didn’t, but both had a lineup of red carpet dresses that were a great diversity of distraction from the Golden Globe red carpet choices.
It’s the first award show of the season, giving the stylists out there plenty of time to heat up, but with just two weeks to the Grammys, the clock is ticking.
