We’re sad to report that Snoop Dogg‘s family has lost a cherished member, as his 70-year-old Uncle Junebug passed away yesterday.
According to TMZ, the Doggystyle rapper was by his bedside last night, along with rapper Daz Dillinger – who Junebug was also an uncle to – as he took his last breaths.
Junebug had been fighting colon cancer for some time now, so the end of the battle was probably anticipated by his family.
Allhiphop reports that Daz confirmed the death of his Uncle by posting a video to his Instagram dedicated to him (below).
If you’ve been to a Snoop Dogg concert, you’ve probably seen Junebug dancing on stage with his legendary nephew.
Junebug had been updating his social media to keep up with fans, but his last tweet was on August 27th of last year.
Snoop tweeted of his uncle’s death:
