A group of Michael Brown supporters came together on Christmas to rebuild the teen’s memorial after a car drove into it in the middle of the night.

Social media began to report the incident around 1:45 a.m., saying the car destroyed flowers, candles, and stuffed animals laid on Canfield Dr. in Ferguson, Mo., the same place Brown was killed by former Officer Darren Wilson in August. After word spread on Twitter, a group of people came together to recreate the memorial.

Some claim that the car ran over the memorial on purpose.

In just under an hour, a new one was built.

The memorial was destroyed by a fire in September.

Salute to those who kept the peace and the Christmas spirit alive in the midst of a pointless act.
