Something’s brewing in Canada, and it’s music to our ears.

Def Jam recently added an 18-year-old secret weapon to their roster and her name is Alessia Caracciolo.

Reigning from Brampton, Ontario, the self-proclaimed “socially awkward” singer has been working with notable producers Pop and Oak on her forthcoming major label debut, and their first offering comes in the form of “Here.”

The FADER premiered the Canadian songstress’ track and spoke with the teen sensation about the song’s message.

“‘Here is for or all the antisocial, awkward, and miserable party-goers of the world. This one time I went to a party and while there, I realized how much I hated it, along with every other party I had ever gone to. We wrote about it the next day.”

Enough said. Enjoy Alessia’s soulful vocals below.
