Lady Gaga has kept a lower profile over the past few years. Besides her collaborations with Tony Bennett, Gaga has remained unmentioned, but she’s back and making a difference.
In support of the documentary The Hunting Ground, a film about sexual assault, Lady Gaga teams up with Twilight director Catherine Hardwicke to produce the “Til It Happens To You” music video. The dark visual depicts what happens on so many college campuses, but never gets reported or addressed – rape and sexual assault. It opens with a warning message:
“The following contains graphic content that may be emotionally upsetting but reflects the reality of what is happening daily on college campuses.”
A portion of the song’s proceeds will be donated to organizations and charities that help survivors of sexual assault. To purchase “Til It Happens To You,” click here.
