M.I.A. is back with her unique fashion sense, releasing a video for her new single Story Be Told, a single off her third studio album Maya. The album was released earlier this summer, and made number nine of the Billboard 200 as well as topped the charts in the UK.
M.I.A‘s music is a combination of hip-hop, dance, and alternative music to create a sound of its own. M.I.A is probably most known for her hit single Paper Planes, off of her second studio album, Kala.
The song achieved great success, appearing in films such as Pineapple Express and Slumdog Millionaire, and was also sampled for Jay-Z & T.I‘s hit song Swagga Like Us. Paper Planes was nominated for a Grammy award and made the Rolling Stones ‘500 Greatest Songs Of All Times’ list.
