So far, 2010 has been a pretty great year for music. We’ve seen releases from Drake, Rick Ross, etc. and impressive mixtapes from the likes of Big K.R.I.T., Fabolous, and Pac Div. Not to mention the albums that are due out later this year – Kanye West, That said, a lot of the releases that looked most promising at the beginning of the year have been plagued by pushbacks. Here are the greatest albums of the year that we haven’t heard yet.

Artist: Game

Album: The R.E.D. Album

Original Release Date: 2009

Current Release Date: August 29

Why We’re Still Anticipating It: Game has reunited with Dr. Dre for this album, so that’s enough to keep our interest.

Artist: Young Jeezy

Album: Thug Motivation 103

Original Release Date: June 22

Current Release Date: September 28

Why We’re Still Anticipating It: Jeezy has arlready dropped 3 great albums, not to mention his mixtapes, and judging by ‘Lose My Mind’ and ‘All White Everything’ he shows no signs of slowing down.

Artist: Rich Boy

Album: Buried Alive

Original Release Date: 2008

Current Release Date:  late 2010

Why We’re Still Anticipating It: Rich Boy’s debut album was a classic on the low, giving a voice to a state that is definitely underrepresented in hip-hop (Alabama), with songs like ‘Let’s Get This Paper,’ ‘Throw Some D’s’ and ‘Get To Poppin.’
