Yesterday, a devastating earthquake registering approximately 7.0 on the Richter scale hit the island of Haiti. The capital city Port-au-Prince has basically been leveled. According to CNN, the earthquake has left the city virtually helpless. Haiti lacks the necessary infrastructure to deal with this kind of catastrophic event. And, to make a horrific situation worse, the hospital has collapsed so there is nowhere to aid the survivors and the airport also fell victim to the earthquake and early reports were that planes cannot fly into Port-Au-Prince. Haiti is devastated and WE MUST ACT NOW TO AID HAITI!!!!!!

The earthquake has left the city virtually helpless.
