Last blog brought out some interesting comments. Look, being on the down low is beyond rappers. Rappers on the ‘dl’ don’t have the courage to speak up! They’re too worried about the glamour, glitz and wealth instead of who they are. I’m not expecting them to take a stand and I’m not convincing anyone to come out either. It’ll be just one lie after the next.

Maybe your favorite athlete is on the ‘dl’! You know why he’s on the ‘dl’? Because you like him now, but maybe you won’t like him tomorrow. Athletes are built to achieve! Their performance is ego based and fueled by adrenaline. Males dominate most sports. But what if you found out a top ranked athlete is gay??

You can’t strip them of their accolades and you can’t take away their pride
And dignity. He/She is still human and they achieved their goals on physical
endurance. I repeat ‘Physical Endurance’. Say what what you want but you
can’t deny that!

Oh, It gets deeper! Down low people are in the military too. Why? Because its illegal to be gay in the military. The military has a ‘don’t ask, don’t tell’ (DADT) policy because ‘it would create an unacceptable risk to the high standards morale, good order and discipline, and unit cohesion that are the essence of military capability’. ‘Sexual orientation will not be a bar to service unless manifested by homosexual conduct. The military will discharge members who engage in homosexual conduct, which is defined as a homosexual act, a statement that the member is homosexual or bisexual, or a marriage or attempted marriage to someone of the same gender’. That’s a quote from ‘The Pentagons New Policy Guidelines on Homosexuals in the Military’. Ask LT Dan Choi (Whom is the person I’m referring to as fired. Bet you thought I meant someone else!) who’s all too familiar with this.

Listen, I’m not a journalist, nor am I the poster boy for any movement. There are ‘dl’ actors, writers, doctors, lawyers, police…in EVERY profession. Society is NOT ready for change contrary to what we all say!!!
And for the record, I don’t like controversy, I write about the things you think but are unwilling to say. Anyway, I had enough. I’d like to thank all the viewers who tuned into to this and my previous blog.

I’m retiring from blogging….LOL. And since its my blog, I can end it anyway I’d like. Most people judged me as soon as they started reading and you’re all still judging. Do you think I care what anyone thinks about me??
