Katy Perry and Russell Brand are pulling all the stops out for their traditional Indian wedding on October 23. Katy Perry and Russell Brand guest will be flown out on private jets and will sleep in ‘pimped out’ rented luxury tents in the Rajasthan desert resort of Aman-i-Khas where they will be staying, an insider to the couple told US weekly.
Before the ceremony, Katy Perry will have her hands decorated with henna tattoos in a Mehendi ritual, and then move on to Jaipur for the wedding.
The insider to the couple said, ‘The procession will start at the gate of the hotel, with the bridegroom sitting on a beautifully decorated horse that is escorted by camels and elephants. Folk dancers then welcome the couple with a traditional routine, fireworks and a special buggi (horse-driven cart) ushering them into the main garden for the wedding.’
