For fashion lovers around the world, Spring and Summer are the best seasons to witness fashion come alive. With the official start of Spring on March 21, people no longer have to worry about chilly days and freezing nights. Wardrobes, accompanied by flowers, have started to blossom as we speak. In conclusion, this means it is time for all to refresh their apparel. I do not mean that one has to splurge in order to get the hottest looks. Instead, take a different route by using what you have in your closet and pairing it up with particular pieces that are the latest fashion trends. This way, you can still be a recessionista and a fashionista at the same time! Here are Spring & Summer’s Fashion Trends….

Apparel:

1. The Boyfriend Jean– This particular denim is the perfect pair that you can wear to feel comfortable and look ultra chic. The fit should be very loose- somewhat baggy, and folded at the bottoms to create a cropped look. Some pairs even come ripped up by the knees etc.

Kim and Kourtney Kardashian nail the look with their cropped boyfriend jeans and heels

2. Black and White– No Longer A Thing Of The Past. These two colors combined on Tops, Skirts, and Dresses are the latest craze in fashion.

The one and only Jennifer Lopez rocked out this look with a long black and white dress.

3. Floral Print: Although it may have seemed ‘granny’ in the past, floral print is making a big come back. Pairing a floral print top with a solid block bottom or vice versa can make you, as an individual, look warm and inviting with such vibrant colors.

Vanessa Hudgens and Eva Amurri wore the same floral print skirts in very different ways. Eva played on the hot pink color by finding a matching top while Vanessa played it down with black flats to match her black top. (I like Vanessa’s look a little bit more)

4. Denim: It has always had its place in the fashion industry. As time passes and fashion evolves, so does denim. Of course there is the practical and staple piece that every girl should have- the jean jacket. Then, there is a more evolved denim- vests, dresses, etc.
