Whether we like it or not, 2010 is halfway over. With that said, there’s already been a ton of new music that has come out so far this year. Some good, some not so good, but either way, there’s been enough to keep us occupied with our iPods for hours on end.

There’s been a mix of every genre from both artists new and old. Some stars used their album to make a comeback, like Eminem, while others took to their new album as an opportunity to reinvent themselves, like Miley Cyrus.

From pop to country to hip-hop, some of the biggest names in the business came out with albums since the start of 2010. Christina Aguilera gave us Bionic, another reinvention of herself since her last album, Back 2 Basics. Kidz N the Hall represented for the less mainstream artists with Land of Make Believe where they showed us they deserve to be the next big thing in hip hop.

Lady Antebellum came hard for their country fans with their album Need You Now. It not only won for Video of the Year, Song of the Year and Single Record of the Year at this year’s Grammy’s, but they also managed to capture a pop audience along the way.

We here at GG have very different opinions on what good music actually is, so when it comes to deciding what the best music of 2010 has been thus far, we prefer to let you know our individual opinions. Check it out!

I loved ‘The Adventures of Bobby Ray’ by B.O.B. At first, it was because I’m from Atlanta, and we support our own. But after I really listened to it, I loved it because he’s so versatile. It’s hard to believe the same guy who did ‘Nothin’ On You’ and ‘Airplanes’ could come out with ‘Bet I’ and ‘Kids’. I love that! –LaLaLauren

The New Pornographers: Indie rock Canadian super-group’s new album Together is the perfect summer soundtrack. What other band can get you red flagged at school or work just for Googling their name? –BlogXilla
