Looks like we have another social networking site to obsess over. Blackatlas.com is the newest social network to jump on the scene. Created by American Airlines, Blackatlas.com is unlike any of its kind, and combines features from the travel site with social networking, giving travelers a chance to share experiences that are unique to the Black community. Users of BlackAtlas.com are able to share travel stories and provide travel tips through videos, commentary, pictures, blogs as well as discussion boards. Aside from that, users are also able to rate or recommend popular destinations and businesses, connect with other travelers, answer questions based on their own experiences, and build travel itineraries based on user recommendations. BlackAtlas.com is bringing a new value to New York, with exclusive events and extending the traveling experience as a whole. American Airlines introduced Blackatlas.com with a series of exclusive events, which started Aug. 30 with a concert with Grammy Award winning artists, John Legend and The Roots in celebration of their new album, Wake Up!
