Last week I interviewed actor Columbus Short for his new movie The Losers and we talked about a bunch of topics including on set pranks, yo mama jokes, blowing things up and falling off the stage.
Xilla: So in this new movie you’re blowing a lot of things up, can you explain that experience?
Columbus Short: ‘Its fun! Its like I was a little kid playing with toy guns. Its like playin like you’re an action figures, so to actually do it and get paid for it is ridiculous.’
Xilla: In the trailer you say you’re like the Black MacGuyver. Off the top what can you make with a paper clip, lighter fluid and chewing gum?
Columbus Short: ‘Rufinol! With a paper clip lighter fluid and chewing gum? Yep probably Rufinol. (LAUGHS)’
Xilla: You fell off stage not to long ago, what went through your mind when hit the floor and realize I just feel off stage?
Columbus Short: ‘As soon as I hit the ground I said Youtube and I was dying laughing. Anyone that knows me knows that I’m a goof ball and its hard for me to get embarrassed. So it wasn’t embarrassing it was just hilarious it was just like the funniest thing that could ever happen. Especially b/c of how high my swag was turn up for 42 seconds before that happened.’

Xilla: You got to work with Chris Evans on this film, what sort of off camera conversation did y’all have?
Columbus Short: ‘I don’t think you can print our conversations! (LAUGHS) I’m just playing. We are just boys, you know what I mean? He’s a very good guy from Boston, and I’m a very good guy from Kansas City. We are just homies so it’s probably the same things you talk about with your boys.’
Xilla: The director of ‘The Losers’ Sylvain White said that you guys cracked a lot of Yo Mama Jokes, did any of those joke get under your skin?
Columbus Short: ‘Nothing got under my skin except your mama! (LAUGHS) Your mama jokes are a classic, but they work! Frenchie was the one that started it but he was the one who got it the worst! Evetything he said we destroyed him!’
Xilla: If you could do a sex scene with any woman in Hollywood who would you choose?
Columbus Short: ‘Yo mama! Got Cha!! Angelina Jolie and Megan Fox and the girl from Slumdog! Wait! Not the girl from Slumdog… she’s only 18 come on I’m a grown man that’s bad! She’s young. So the girl the slumdog in 2 years.’
Xilla: There was also a rumor that you cracked someone’s jaw at the gym, do you care to speak on that rumor?
