Summer after summer women flock to the same popular sandal trends. Since 2005 the Gladiator sandal has been the choice of trendy footwear. The reoccurring style that has appeared for five summers comes in many different colors, textures, and (lucky for us) prices. Many celebrities have been seen donning the Roman- style shoe while rocking the red carpet or on a relaxed summer outing. What started out as a flat has recently also been transformed into a heel in the form of a wedge or chunky heel. While most of the shoes buckle around the ankle, there are many that transcend as high as the knees.
