It’s only been a week since the end of the Sundance Film Festival and already one movie is getting more than their share of buzz in Hollywood. Media mogul Oprah Winfrey and director/producer/writer/actor Tyler Perry are coming together with movie studio Lionsgate to promote Sundance Film Festival winner “Push: Based on the Novel by Sapphire." Lionsgate reportedly paid around $5 million for the North American distribution rights (making it one of the biggest movie deals out of Sundance) and plans to release the film this year. Winfrey and Perry will join their marketing forces through their production companies to publicize the film, which is based on the 1996 book about the journey of an overweight Harlem teen who tries to cope with mental and sexual abuse.“Push” stars Paula Patton, Mariah Carey, Lenny Kravitz, Mo’Nique, newcomer Gabourey Sidibe and is helmed by "Monster’s Ball" director Lee Daniels.
