<p>Winnie Madikizela-Mandela is not happy with the upcoming film about her troubled life and marriage to Nelson Mandela, AFP reports. Mandela has blasted the makers of the forthcoming feature for not consulting her.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Oscar-winner Jennifer Hudson has been cast as the ex-wife of Nelson Mandela in the film by South African director Darrell J. Roodt. However, Winnie is voicing her displeasure with the project in a letter issued through her attorney Bowman Gilfillan. Mandela has been involved in a number of scandals since separating from her husband in 1992, including accusations of ties to the murder of a young South African activist and a conviction for fraud in 2003.</p><p>&ldquo;It is difficult to understand how a production bearing the name of an individual who has not been consulted at all could ever be appropriate or tell the full story of that individual&rsquo;s life as media reports suggest this production is intended to,&rdquo; the letter read. &ldquo;This is certainly the case here, where our client has not responded to allegations and comment which have been made about her, precisely because she has sought to protect her sphere of personal privacy as best she can in extremely difficult and turbulent times.&rdquo;</p><p>Late last year, the feature &mdash; tenatively-titled Winnie &mdash; came under fire for the decision to cast J-Hud instead of a qualified South African actress.</p>
