Two girls, 16 and 19-years-old, have been rescued from a secret dungeon in Hebei province in China, where they’ve been held against their will since July, CNN reports.
The girls wrote several emergency notes, stuffing them into garbage bags, for example, hoping someone would come to their rescue. In fact, it was a note tucked into a broken television set that led to their release.
The girls were found naked and chained by their feet in an underground cellar. The dungeon was just two hundred meters from one of their homes.
