Who is Chelsea Handler? For some of you who aren’t familiar, she is the host of the Chelsea Lately Show, a late night comedy talk show aired on the E! cable television network. Her show includes a variety of different comedians who sit at a large table and speak about the insane lives of celebrities and discuss different topics found in magazines and the tabloids. Some people believe she can be really mean, others call her a complete bitch but that’s what makes her unique. Chelsea isn’t afraid to speak her mind and that’s exactly why she is my favorite comedian.

After getting hooked on the show, I discovered that Chelsea was doing a Chelsea Chelsea Bang Bang tour around the United States which included her doing stand up comedy and included after show book signings to promote her latest book (Chelsea Chelsea Bang Bang which was published March 9, 2010). This weekend I was fortunate enough to see her perform at Radio City Music Hall in New York City. Josh Wolf, a former comedian who appears on the Chelsea Lately show opened up for her. When Chelsea appeared on the stage the crowd went wild. From the moment she started until the very end, laughter echoed throughout the theater and I couldn’t help myself from laughing like a hyena. 1) Chelsea’s personality is real. Unlike most Hollywood celebrities, she speaks of topics and situations we can all relate to. Whether it’s about trying to hide gas from your spouse or dealing with a messy break up, Chelsea tells us how it is and shares her gruesome hilarious details we can all understand and relate to. 2) It is a great experience! A little alcohol crazed, it is hard for Handler to sit still and stand plainly on stage. Her actions made her stories come to life. Although there are many comedians who exaggerate movements on stage, I have never seen a blonde haired chick act out so many crazy movements in front of a large audience… like when she was younger and discovered her ‘magic muffin.’
