I have always believed that if the most discriminated against minority, women, weren’t so brutally held back by men our oceans would be less polluted, our air cleaner, our environment greener, our animals safer and our politics saner.  Maybe that is why I love Lil Kim so much- she is a woman in every sense of the word.   I wonder if she considers herself a feminist because that’s exactly how I see her.  She uses her fame to promote self confidence, strength, pride and fierceness in the legion of female fans that look up to her.  It is voices like Lil Kim’s that tells the true story of the kind of discrimination that still lives everywhere from the hood to corporate America.  We need more strong, opinionated females, like Lil Kim, to show young girls that there are ways out of that oppression. I love you Lil Kim and cannot wait to read your first blog tomorrow.
