It’s me Courtnee Mason. You may have seen me on the Vh1 show I’m Cut Off!
I’m 26 years old and my goal is to become an actress and a model. Once day hopefully I will work with some of the greats like Tyler Perry, Gabrielle Union, Tom Cruise, Oprah, Will Smith, and Angelina Jolie. I attended North Carolina A&T in Greensboro, NC.
Being on the Vh1 show Cut Off could be one of the best things that happened to me. It’s like the start that makes you stop. Everything is so overwhelming at first, but it is a wonderful experience that I wouldn’t change for the world.

I’m known for chasing my dream and I’m lucky that I have parents that support me! Being an actress and a model is not your typical 9-5, so for me I’m looking at this experience on the show, and it is just very humbling. Most importantly, it has taught me a lot. I always think to myself that I’m fortunate enough to have parents that support me in my dreams, but at the same time they encourage me to chase my dreams.
There are so many people after this one dream, and the toughest thing for me, is having a platform to showcase that talent. I know that I have the passion, the drive, and the talent, I just need to be seen. I’m not just coming out of the blue saying ‘hey I want to be an actress,’ this is something that I have been perfecting for years now, as well as modeling. Being an actress I want to perfect in every area.
Of course I know, everything is not handed to you, and you have to work for what you get. This show has taught me that no matter what I do, I have done my best, worked hard, and I will be reward for it in the end. Hard work pays off!

One episode that really inspired me that hasn’t aired yet focuses on giving back. I can say that giving back is the biggest thing for me. This is what makes me stronger inside. When you show other people that you appreciate them, you learn and grow as a person. This was my moment.
There’s also an episode where we were cleaning Omarora’s house, which was a learning experience for me. It was very humbling, and it made think like ‘wow, people do this for a living.’ After this experience, you will now think twice before leaving things on the ground. It’s the little things that make you think, I can do better than what I was doing!

Being around Omarosa has put me in the mind set of doing what I have to do full force, give it 110%, and be happy with what you get! Omarosa is a great person, and a wonderful role model. She knows what she wants, she does what she needs to do to get it, without being necessarily nasty. Omarosa is doing her thing! My hat is off to her.
