The leak of ‘Power’ is the first we have heard from Kanye West since his September 09′ public meltdown. Since his absence, it seemed as if hip-hop fell into a ‘Where are you Weezy?’ moment. With his frequent trips to Hawaii and sudden disappearance, we all knew something was brewing from Chitown’s hometown hero.

‘Power’ not only broke Ye’s silence, its release seemed to silence the game. Between the triumphant tribal beat and Ye’s lyrical bravado the song felt, well…. Powerful. Ye’s unapologetic, humorous, witty and boastful lyrics made you root for him, then hit replay and root for him all over again.

The song couldn’t have dropped at a more perfect time, a time filled with summer anticipation where staples are made in music. It was the perfect moment in which Ye could right his wrongs and still make it known he’s killing the game and everyone in it.

Kanye recently released an Mixed & Mastered version to ‘Power’ which will be on his anticipated album Good Ass Job. Can any of you tell the difference between the leaked version vs the mastered? Listen and Comment.
