Yesterday, Terry Lundgren, Macy’s CEO and Diddy had a press conference at NYC’s Standard Hotel, announcing that the retail chain will exclusively sell Sean John clothing. The deal, that has been a two year labor of love, had been recently finalized, after Diddy carefully watched the rising success of Tommy Hilfiger, after Macy’s inked a similar deal with him. This is also a full circle story for Diddy who told press that ‘I got my start at Macy’s when I was 16, selling shirts and ties.’ speakng of his first job in New Rochelle, N.Y. ‘To come full circle like this is a dream come true.’ Does Diddy not just inspire you to be dope?
