This past Wednesday, March 10, 2010, Louis Vuitton held a show in Paris for their Fall 2010 Collection. I know this may seem soon to those who do not understand the fashion show world. You might be thinking ‘ Spring is just arriving, and Fall collections are already being showcased?’ but the fashion world is ‘forward’ in more ways than one. In order for the production to be complete and distributed by the time the specific season is present, the clothes must be displayed at shows in advance. Louis Vuitton paid tribute to The Speedy, the brand’s iconic bag that made its presence more than 80 years ago. The 1930’s inspired collection was modeled by some of the greatest including Bar Rafaeli, Adriana Lima, Alessandra Ambrioso, Lara Stone, CoCo Rocha, and Mcpherson. Marc Jacobs, the creative director behind the show, did an excellent job in making the audience feel as though they were in an elegant park where Louis Vuitton reigned. Model Elle Mcpherson closed out the show stating in an interview ‘ It was a very special experience.’
